MULTI-ACTIVITY PACKAGES

Day 1: night in Montreal (Saturday night)
Welcome to the Belle province! Upon your arrival, you will be met by a Mekoos representative. He will take you to the Hyatt, a deluxe hotel in downtown Montreal where you’ll be able to recover from jet lag and discover the city. Some activities will be proposed to start off your stay in Quebec. Have a nice vacation!

Day 2: Montreal-Mekoos (Snowmobiling: 80 km)
After breakfast, a bus will take you to the Mekoos, about 3 ½ hours from Montreal. You will be greeted by the Dumoulin family and its team with a welcome cocktail, a delicious local mead. Once you’ve settled into your room or chalet, we will give you the “Big Chill” clothing you will be wearing throughout your stay. You will receive training and safety instructions for your first snowmobile ride: 60 km on our try out trails to familiarize yourself with your vehicle. When you return from your ride, you’ll sit down to a delicious meal prepared by our chef with our own local flavours.

Day 3: Mekoos - Notawissi (Snowmobile 150 Km)
Your adventure begins with snowmobile crossing the territory of the outfitting Beauregard then browse the Zec Mazana, and reach the dam Lady Otter, located on the Lièvre River, has a height of 20 meters. Next Management, the lodge where Scott Denis welcomes you to take lunch. Your guide will then lead towards the reservoir Mitchinamicus then take the trail Notawissi to go to the outfitting of the same name where Josée will welcome you for dinner and where you spend the night.

Day 4: Notawissi - Mekoos (Snowmobile 150 Km)
You will leave the outfitter for you in the area of Devil's Mountain, a must-see attraction in the upper Laurentians. Its highest peak rises to 783 m. to enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the entire region and reservoir Baskatong, an inland sea of 320 km2. A detour to the Falls Windigo is also needed: huge smooth rock on which the flowing waters of the river Windigo. For lunch, a gourmet experience typical country meal at the sugar shack. On the menu, soup peas, beans with bacon, ears bastards, sausages and ham, all topped with maple syrup. Jocelyne Sugar Bush of the Four-Spring you will go round the owner in order to unveil the secrets of maple syrup. You can sweeten with maple taffy on snow. And finally back on the road toward the outfitter Mekoos.

Day 4: Mekoos (Snowmobiling backcountry)
Aujourd’hui vous sortez des sentiers battus pour vivre une expérience hors de l’ordinaire vous partez avec votre guide explorez la nature sauvage, vous parcourez des sentier non baliser pour faire le tour de la pourvoirie Mekoos et son immense territoire de 346 km2 . Vous ferez un arrêt dans un refuge pour le diner ou votre guide vous préparera le repas sur feu de bois.  

Day 6: Mekoos (Sled Dogs)
Today you go out of their way to an experience outside of the ordinary you leave with your guide exploring the wilderness, you browse the unmarked trail to the tower and its outfitting Mekoos vast territory of 346 km2. You'll stop at a shelter for dinner or your guide will prepare lunch over a wood fire.

Day 7: Mekoos (Ice Fishing & Trapping)
Get ready to live another great experience at the time of New France. You leave with your guide Alain, snowshoes, discovery of our wildlife. Our exclusive territory is full of game and animals of all kinds. Do not forget your camera for viewing all these beautiful landscapes and animals in some surprising way.
Alain will explain the necessity of trapping to keep the balance of wildlife in our area. You will discover his trap line and the various ways of capturing prey. He roasts also good grilled on a wood fire. In the afternoon, you will have the chance to tease the trout and if you are lucky, few are taken by our leader dressed as a starter at dinner. Returning to the Lodge, Sebastian will wait again to the great lounge for cocktails and famous magic tricks. Dinner gourmet chef's menu and beautiful last night to remember this wonderful week in your company.

Day 8: Mekoos-Montreal
After a delicious breakfast, the entire Dumoulin family will be saying farewell… that is, until your next stay with us. A bus will take you back to Montreal, making a stop downtown for those of you who would like to purchase some souvenirs of your wonderful adventure in Quebec. Afterwards, it’s back to Trudeau Airport. You’ll be flying home, your mind filled with splendid images of the past week.
