GENERAL TERMS OF SALE

RESERVATIONS
A 30 % deposit is required to confirm your reservation. Payment can be made by cheque, credit card or bank transfer. We will send you a confirmation of your reservation showing the deposit amount and your selected package.

The amount due for the package is to be paid, at the latest, 30 days prior to your departure date. If we have not received the full amount by that date, the trip will be considered cancelled.

CANCELLATIONS
Cancellation fees will be determined and invoiced as follows :

Timing of the cancellation                                                  Percentage applied

More than 30 days prior to your departure:                 30 % of the stay or package
Between 30 days and 8 days prior to your departure:    50 % of the stay or package
Between 7 days and 2 days prior to your departure:      75 % of the stay or package
The day before and day of departure:                       100 % of the stay or package

INSURANCE
Club Mekoos has taken out a $1 000 000 third party insurance policy. However, we strongly recommend that you take out an additional travel insurance (i.e. repatriation) with Europeenne Assistance to protect yourself. This insurance should be sufficient to cover the cost of medical care in Canada or getting you home for treatment.

SECURITY DAMAGE DEPOSIT - DEDUCTIBLE
To participate in any of our snowmobile excursions, Club Mekoos requires a security deposit: $1500 per snowmobile if using the GTX 550 cc model and $2000 if using the MXZ 600 cc model. Should there be any material damages to the snowmobile or the equipment used, the replacement or repair cost will be deducted from the amount of the deposit. In short, should anything be damaged, every participant will have to pay a maximum of $1500 or $2000. This security deposit is usually paid by credit card and is completely refundable at the end of your stay if there are no damages.

DEPARTURES
All departures are scheduled on Saturday. However, other arrangements can be made at an extra charge with a minimum number of participants. For additional information, please contact us.

ACCOMMODATIONS
Club Mekoos reserves the right to modify accommodations (hotels, inns, outfitters, B&Bs…) with accommodations of equivalent category or higher.

DRIVER’S LICENCE FOR THE SNOWMOBILE
The driver under whose name the snowmobile has been rented must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver’s licence which must be presented upon signing the rental contract. It does not have to be an international licence. A driver’s licence is not  required for the passenger.

CHANGES TO THE PROGRAMS
Although we do our best to provide you with the most precise information possible, we may need at times to change, without prior notice, the itineraries as well as the accommodations and restaurants indicated in the excursion descriptions.  Some of the reasons could be the vagaries of the weather (ex.: rain, ice or snow storm), the trail conditions or their closure for maintenance. In such cases, we will provide you with an alternative to meet your expectations and ability and that will satisfy your taste for adventure and provide you with all the comfort required.

Furthermore, the proposed packages can be done in the reversed order. As for the multi-activity packages, activities are interchangeable and can be done in a different order than what is suggested in their presentation.

LIABILITY
Snowmobiling being an activity with a certain element of risk, anyone participating in a snowmobile excursion does so with full knowledge of the facts and at the his/her own risk. Club Mekoos, its managers and employees can not be held responsible for any accident, breakdown, theft, lost objects or any incident that may happen during your stay.

One needs to be in good shape and have a certain level of skill when practising any  motorized sport. Every participant must use his/her own judgment in evaluating his/her ability to participate in a snowmobile excursion.

FOR EVERYONE’S COMPLETE SATISFACTION
Our goal is to provide you with a pleasant stay.  We therefore ask that you keep your vehicle under control at all times and that you respect all the rules and regulations in place. Your safety and the safety of others depend on it. Small, even minor damages, can quickly become costly and can easily be avoided. Furthermore, they always spoil the good memories from a trip.

COMPLAINTS
Club Mekoos has a business philosophy focused on customer satisfaction and endeavours to provide you with a pleasant and unforgettable stay with us.  However, should you be dissatisfied with your package and our service, please do not hesitate to send us your complaint, in writing, within ten days after your return, by certified mail with acknowledgement of receipt. Should there be any litigation, only the courts of the Province of Quebec will have jurisdiction.
